This explains what TaxDecoded ("we", "us") collects when you use the quiz, buy a report, or order a form, and what we do with it. We've kept it in plain English on purpose — the whole point of this business is not hiding things in small print.

What we collect

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't store your card details — Stripe handles payment and that data never touches our servers.
• We don't file anything with HMRC on your behalf. You remain the claimant for anything you submit; we transcribe the details you give us onto the right form for you to check, sign, and send.

Why we ask which part of the UK you're in

Scotland and Wales set some of their own income tax rates. We ask so we can use the correct rules for your figures — not for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — see below. Quiz answers tied to a purchase are kept as part of your order record. Payment card data is never stored by us at all; Stripe retains it under their own policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to:

• See what we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your data entirely (a right-to-erasure request)
• Unsubscribe from any email — every email has a one-click link

Email hello@taxdecoded.co.uk for any of the above. We aim to respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Who processes your data

• Stripe — payment processing (never sees quiz answers; we never see card details)
• Resend — sends your report and any emails from us
• Our own server, hosted in the EU, running the report generator and quiz

Cookies

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Your quiz progress is held in your browser's memory for the session only.
